Building on the visual language established in the author's debut, the cover design for Texas Sage captures the tension between Callie’s structured life in Seattle and the raw, vulnerable atmosphere of the Texas ranch.

While Desert Willow leaned heavily into dark, ominous true-crime tones, Texas Sage required a softer, yet still emotionally charged palette. The artwork highlights the rugged beauty of the Texas landscape—featuring native sagebrush, wide skies, and rustic ranch elements—to symbolize growth, healing, and the cracking of long-held emotional walls. The visual contrast between sharp architectural elements and organic Texas flora serves as a direct metaphor for Callie’s choice between the rigid, controlled life she built in the city and the uncharted future waiting for her in Texas.
